New Bike

Ever since second grade, I have had the same bike.  So I think after 6 years, maybe I should get one that fits a little better.  So Dad, Mom, and I looked online for cool bikes and I bought one with my own money.  It is pretty sick.  It's orange and black and is way bigger than my old bike.  Plus it's getting here before the triathlon so I will be able to use it for the triathlon which will definitely help.  I have been biking a lot lately and really like it so that's why I got a new bike.  Plus we have a ginormous hill right next to our house and it's really hard to ride up it.  So a new bike would make it a lot more fun to go up and down the hill.  I can't wait to ride it!  :)
It looks a little small but it's because of the picture.  It's actually the second largest side in the adult size so... yeah.  Bye!

Mini Triathlon - Miracles of Mitch

Hello!

On August 1st Chloe and I will be racing in the 2015 Pinky Swear Kids Triathlon at Lake Nokomis.  It's in Minneapolis. It's the largest kids triathlon in the U.S.  We're not racing for ourselves but for kids with cancer who are so sick that they can't race for themselves.
We are participating in the Pinky Swear Kids Triathlon and raising money to help those kids with cancer and their families. If we fundraise, we can we can get help pay for those families' food and medical bills and things like that. Our goal is to raise $500.  We have both done this race in the past and it is really fun.  Just letting you know, I am going to get first in my division, so... yeah.  :)  I have to swim a couple hundred yards, bike 4 and a half miles, and run 1 mile.  So it will be pretty easy.  The most important thing, though, is that we help the kids with cancer.  What place you get doesn't matter as much as that.  So we are going to run for those kids and have fun.  If you would like to help donate, then you can either contact our family or go to this link: http://www.pinkyswear.org/

Thanks!  :)

New Shoes

I got the coolest shoes I have ever had my whole life!  We got them early so I could grow into them and wear them this upcoming season for basketball.  THEY ARE SO SICK!  Plus we got them like $20 off and they were on clearance.  So basically we got them $100 dollars off!  I love them.  I even have had dreams about them.  Here is a picture of them.

Sweet, huh!  :)

Today I have to write another short story only using the vowels a and o and y.

Amy and Omar sat on a car.  Why?  Nobody knows.  Amy's not normal.  Omar also's not normal.

That was hard, too!  :)

For my blog today I have to write a short story without using any vowels except for i, u and e.

I used his crushed ice in the cup.  It is very ice - like.  His ice is never melts.  It's invincible.

Okay, I have to stop my incredibly long story right now.  That was a lot harder than I thought!  :)  You should try if you don't think it's hard.  This took my like fifteen minutes to write this short blog because I had to think of all those words only using i, e, and u.

Gavin got home from Germany yesterday!  He said it was really cool.  Although he is going to do some blog's about it so I won't spoil anything he said.  It was just a side note.

Oh, another side note is that golfing was awesome yesterday!  For my first time ever golfing, I got 74.  Which is good, but for a newbie like I am, that was pretty good.  Although Grandpa got 41.  Way better than mine.  I used to think that golf was pretty boring, but now I know that it is actually quite enjoyable, fun, and relaxing.  Everything is so peaceful out there... except for when I hit the same ball into the forest four times in a row!  I found it every time thankfully, but then I hit it into the water.  The ducks were laughing at me, but Grandpa was able to get it out.  It was a really fun experience and I hope to go more in the future.

Golf

I'm going golfing for the first time in my life with Grandpa.  It's gonna be pretty fun.  I'll learn a lot, and even though I won't be able to drive a golf cart, it will still be awesome.  :)  Grandpa's really good at it and know's a lot about it, so I'm glad he's teaching instead of (no offense meant) Dad.  It's just because Dad goes maybe once every two years, and grandpa goes maybe once a week.  So sorry Dad.  He did give me some pointers last night, so I at least know when to use each golf club and things like that.  This is gonna be fun!  :)

We are currently redoing my room.  It's gonna look so sweet!  Farmington's mascot is the Tigers, and our colors are orange, black and white.  So the whole room is mainly an off-white color called Buttercream.  It makes me hungry every time I go in there.  Then we painted a big black horizontal stripe on the accent wall.  It has two smaller orange horizontal lines on top and on bottom of it.  THen we are going to get a really good indoor mini basketball hoop and put that in my room.  We are also going to get a bean-bag and put a cool quote under the hoop.  We might even make basketball court lines or something on the floor beneath the hoop.  Then on the accent wall, in the middle of the black stripe, we are write TIGERS in big orange letters.  I will also have orange curtains and a black bedspread.  It's going to look so cool and mom and I have done everything to it.

New Me

Over the past year I have not been in that great physical condition - I wasn't fat, but had a lot of added fat everywhere.  The thing is, I didn't know it.  I was pretty unaware.  It was because of the Plantar- Fasciitis.  I was so sore all day everyday last summer, I didn't have the energy to do anything, and that included exercise.  So I was pretty out of shape.  Come basketball season, I made A- team, but just wasn't in good enough shape to do well in practices or games.  I had a couple of good games, but instead of usually starting every single game, I was on the bench a lot.  I was also eating a ton!  Like thirds every night and more dessert.  Come March, I started noticing all these things.  So I had the idea that I start a diet and get on an exercise routine.  So I started doing that every day.  I have lost over 20 pounds since March, I have gotten MUCH better at basketball since March, have run 1 or 2 and sometimes even 3 miles a day since March, and have been on a diet since March.  I have noticed a huge difference.   Instead of being embarrassed to take my shirt of at a pool or at practice like I was, now I am not because I have also been working out a lot and have gained a lot of muscle.  I am in better shape and condition.  But that isn't the only change.  I have also noticed a spiritual and mental change.  I have become happier, more in tune with God and reading the Bible a lot more and praying more.  Also, I have become mentally sharper.  The diet is probably the hardest part for me because sometimes I will see some ice - cream my family is having, and want some really really really really bad.  But then I think of last Summer and I decide not to have it.  I'm glad I had the idea for this change and God gave me the strength to do it all.

Daniel Norris

I just read a cool article Mom just emailed me about this dude called Daniel Norris.  Well, he's not just a dude, he is a pitcher for the Blue Jays in the MLB.  But the whole article was about how he lives differently.  Some players drive actual gold trucks or cars or crazy things like that, but he drives a 1978 van.  And he also lives in it.  He shaves with an axe.  He says that he does that because he won't let the $2 million he is getting payed get to his head and make him not who he is.  He says he plays best when he acts like himself, and apparently living in an old van and shaving with an axe is his personality.  It's cool how he is himself no matter what other people think of him, and he is still really good at baseball... he's a pitcher in the MLB for goodness sakes.  :)
