Silver Linings

I didn't make the A-team this year.  I played my hardest and did my best but there were only eight available spots on the A-team this year and I didn't make it.  But two other people from the A-team got kicked off too and are now on a team with me!  I know everybody on the new B-team and I'm friends with most of them.  Also I will probably be the best player on the team and I can probably teach some of the other people some new things.  Oh yeah, by the way if your thinking, Man he is so optimistic!  Well I wasn't when I got home from school.  I was the exact opposite.  But I have the best mom ever and she helped me out so.... :)  Thanks mom!

My scrimmaging basketball tryouts are tomorrow!!!!!!!  AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am pretty nervous!  But I know that if I just try my hardest, there is a very slim chance that I won't make the A team.  But what if when we start scrimmaging and I start out on the B team scrimmaging court and they don't notice em doing anything good?  I'm trying to get all thoughts like that out of my head so that when the time comes I have no fear, no nervousness, and no doubt.  Just some confidence and a clear head.

Keyboarding is getting really hard now!  I have learned the letters, a, s, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, p, o, i, u, y, t, r, e, w, q, x, c, v, b, n, m and period and comma.  It's getting pretty hard now because there are just so many and my hands fell awkward being in that position so long instead of constantly moving like I'm used to.  But it is kind of cool developing a new skill.

Fall

I really like fall!  There's football, yellow, orange and red color everywhere, and it just smells so nice and looks so nice.  When I walk home from the bus stop I always think abut how nice it is and how happy I am to be out of school.  Also, it is my birthday season but I mean.... Fall is just awesome!

Math

My math teacher Mr. Amos is awesome!  He is very very very funny!  Did I mention he's funny?  He also makes math very easy and fun.  We are learning about slopes, and y axis's and x axis's and y and x intercepts and all the other things like that.  It's pretty fun.  Lot's of the time we have homework but he also let's us work on it in class.

Social Studies

Social studies is one of my favorite classes.  We always have fun projects or things to do and not that much homework.  Also, the teacher, Mrs. Kennedy is really nice and and pretty relaxed.  Also I get to sit next to one of my friends, Jackson.  he's also on the A-team.  He probably will this year too.

American Ninja Warrior

One of my favorite tv shows is American Ninja Warrior.  It's kind of like wipe-out but it is a whole lot cooler.  You have to have lots of stamina, agility, strength and willpower to complete it.  I really want to join it when Im old enough!  It's really fun to watch.

That Time of Year

When I got home from school today mom had prepared some tea and some toast for me!  She only does that when it starts getting cold and wintertime.  So it's that time of year again!  I can't wait to go sledding and maybe skiing and snowboarding for once!  Also I think me and dad have a snowball fight rematch! :)

September 16, 2013

My new least favorite class is reading.  The teacher is kind of boring and not fun and it's turning something I really like, reading, into a class I hate.  We have to do lot's of homework and none of my friends are in that class in the same period as me.  I don't like having to write down all the pages and all the books and minutes I've read.  If I'm going to read it is going to be purely for the joy and satisfaction of doing it.  But at least on fridays we get to read the whole period.

Music Class

Today in music class I had a lot of fun!  We got to have a keyboard and and we could split it in half and hear our own music while listening to someone else's music.  Also you could change the sound of the keyboard so I made it drums and I had a cool beat going and then the person on the other side of the keyboard started copying the same sound I was making, only a little bit delayed.  It sounded really cool!

September 12, 2013

I think science class is going to be pretty fun!  We get to dissect things and do cool science projects all year!  And my lab parter is one of my friends so that makes it even better.  But science is also my favorite class of the day!  Probably because lot's of my friends are in that class, the teacher is really nice, and the room has a good atmosphere and is really bright ( unlike some other classrooms).

Decimals Between Other Decimals

Today in math we had two find five decimals between two random decimals.  It started off easy, find five decimals between 0 and 1.  Then it got a little harder.  Find five decimals between .5 and 1.  And then we had to find five decimals between .5 and .6!  That was pretty hard but also pretty fun.

Social Studies

I have a fun homework assignment for social studies!  I have to create an Imovie about YellowStone National Park!  I have never personally used Imovie nor have I ever looked up Yellowstone National Park so this is going to be an interesting series of events here.  Thankfully I have until...... Okay never mind, I forgot when it is due!  I will have to check it later.  But I know it isn't due for a while. :)

Cramped Hands

Who would think that coming out of keyboarding class you would have cramped hands!  Well I would now.  We typed for so long nonstop my hands were so cramped I couldn't bend my wrist without it hurting.  About every two words I wrote I took a break and then wrote two more words. :)  And in case you are thinking to yourself, Oh my goodness!  Cramped hands aren't that bad!  Don't be such a baby!I actually doubt any of you guys would be thinking that, but still if you are than I want you to come to my keyboarding class and type for an hour and then go take some more classes with cramped hands! :)

Basketball Tryouts

My basketball tryouts are coming up soon!  I'm pretty nervous about them but I have practiced A LOT this summer and I am also very confident that I will make the A-team.  I am positive that I can but now I need to eat my nerves.  :)  I have done more left handed stuff this year than any other; left handed layups, hook shots, regular shots, dribbling etc.  And I have my buzz cut back and I have some sweet shoes so now nothing can stop me! :)

Keyboarding

I have a keyboarding class.  The teacher is really mean really boring and really strict but in the end you still learn something though it may not be fun.  But it's pretty hard to type without looking at your fingers and not typing the finger-pointy way. :)

September 4, 2013

Today I have a lot of homework!  I guess I need to get used to having a bunch because at my old school nothing was really challenging and I barely ever had homework.  I have so much to remember and do every day it is a little un-nerving but it is still exciting and I still am able to find my locker! :)  I like most of my teachers except a few but I still enjoy mostly everything.

First Day of 6th Grade!

Today was my first day of 6th grade!  It was pretty fun!  I have a really awesome teacher for my homework, math and my first class of the day.  His name is Mr. Amos.  Right now I am typing the correct way and not looking at my hand either.  The keyboarding teacher drilled the correct way into our brains!  :)   So if it wasn't for backspace you would be reading this: Todau wah me firts day of 6yh grafe.  :)  6th grade looks pretty challenging but still fun.  I only got lost twice.  I can't wait until tomorrow!
