Chemical, Mechanical and Biological Weathering

Today in science class we learned about Chemical, Mechanical and Biological Weathering.  Chemical Weathering is when something like acid rain hits rocks and is kind of gets holes in it.  Mechanical Weathering is where something like the ocean waves hit rocks and breaks them down.  Biological Weathering is when plants grow in between rocks.  TADAAA!

Rubik's Cube-building-lego-robot

Today we went to the school science fair.  I saw this one person who made a Rubik's Cube-building-lego-robot!  It was cool.  I watched it mess up and then put it back twice!  I hope that person wins!

I-Pad Mini's!

At my school all the 5'th graders get I-Pad Mini's!  I get mine today!  We can bring them to school and add apps and stuff.  The cool thing is that this is the first year it's happening.  So we are lucky we didn't just go into 6'th grade this year.

G.E.L Presentations!

Today, after finally having about 3 or 4 week of getting our G.E.L enigma presentations done we finally have a chance to show all the others in G.E.L our enigma's that we worked on.  I did a summary on the Nazca Lines and a Acrostic poem, I pretended I was an archeologist and that I just found a new Nazca Line, and I did a Nazca Lines brochure.  

What should I call this?????

Imagine a life totally devoted to sports.  All you do is practice, play and think about sports.  No time with family, you still play sports even on holidays.  Your family is just a group of people you see sometimes.  Some people actually live that life.  I don't want to.  

The baby bird and the mommy bird- I think

During science class today I had an idea.  I think that a baby bird and a mommy bird is kind of like us and God.  A baby bird is helpless when it is first born.  But then they have a mom that always takes care of them and feeds them and then gradually let's them fly away.  When we start out and don't know about God we are helpless.  We can't do anything!  But then when God get's in our lives He changes everything in a really awesomely-good way.  He cares about us and saves us and let's each of us see Him at least once in our lives.  Even if you don't believe in God he still let's you know that he's there and he's real.  Then he let's you go to see if you'll stay with him or not.

Vascular Plants

Today I learned what Vascular Plants are and what Non-VascularPlants are.  Vascular Plants are plants that suck up water from the ground like: flowers, trees, grass, bushes etc.  A Non-Vascular Plant is a plant that  doesn't suck up water from the ground.  Instead, whatever water they are in or sitting in, they will use.  Some examples are:  moss, mushrooms, fungi etc.

Here is the true story of kid president!  It makes you like him even more! :)

1,000 steps

In P/E today we each got a pedometer.  The goal was to get more than 1,000 steps while doing this noodle-tag activity.  It was really fun I got got about 600 or 700 more steps than we were suposed to get-1,000 steps in 25 minutes.  I was very active to get that many. :)

Timberwolves V.S. Spurs

Yesterday me and Dad went to the Timberwolves V.S. Spurs game!  It was AWESOME!  It was really fun!  Let me tell you what we did exactly.



1.  Mom picked me up after school and got Gavin and Chloe and we met Dad Punch Pizza (Only the best pizza place ever) and ate there.

2.  Then me and Dad went to his work and played some Ping pong and foosball at his office.

3.  Then we went to the Timberwolves game and watched that in person. (Not on the TV)

Then after having an awesome time and getting a souvenir cup, we went home at about 11:30 pm.  Then we went home.

4.  The Spurs won.

TIMBERWOLVES V.S. SPURS

Tomorrow, Dad is taking me to the Timberwolves-Spurs game!  Go Timberwolves!  I can't wait because, I've never been to a NBA game.  Only my own games and my friends games.  So this will be a first!  Hope you have as good of a time as I do when I go to the game!

"Adaptation" or in other words, evolution

Guess what I learned at school today?  "Adaptation" or in other word, evolution.  I don't believe in evolution.  I think that God created everything and nothing got, "accidentally" born a new way.  I'm glad He let me see through that stuff.  I don't think that horses once were the size of a small dog and had toes.  I think that they were always the same and I'm sticking with that.

SUPERBOWL XXXXVII WHO WILL WIN?

Superbowl XXXXVII (47)  consists of THE 49'rs V.S. THE RAVENS!  Who will win?  Make a wise choice! (I'm counting on the 49'rs.)  We will all find out this Sunday!


Know what's dumb?  This company is paying $300,000,000 just to have a 30 second comercial in the Superbowl.  If they gave that money to starving kids and people every where that would decrease the starving people level by a lot!  Also it would show them that there is hope.  But nah!  Lets pay that money to get a 30 second comercial on the superbowl!  A smart idea right?
