WWII

Going into WWII, Germany was really mad because after WWI, they had demilitarize, they had to take blame for the war, they had to pay a bunch of reparations, and they had to cut back on land.  So they were really mad.  They basically grew their army way bigger than it was in WWI, they gained a ton of land, and they didn't take blame for the war - they blamed the Jews because since their economy was so poor, and it was the stereotype that Jews always worked in banks, that they assumed the Jews were purposely ruining them.  Plus they were in a Great Depression so when Hitler came around, people just wanted a leader.

Basketball Party

We are having our basketball party tonight!  I can't wait!  I heard there is going to be a 1 on 1 tournament (basketball) and everything else that there is every year.  It's always fun to see the guys again and play some basketball.  Even though I see half the guys everyday at school.  (:  I have really felt myself become a part of the team now that people respect me more and stuff so it's fun to hang around everybody.

Not only did Tech Ed go good for me today... I got a ton done!  I also rhyme all the time.  Have you ever put a dime on a lime?  Didn't think so, Joe.  Anyways, enough rhyming.  I got three different computer sketches done today which is a lot.  I also started the fourth one.  It is fun when you get a lot don!  Uhhhhh!  I can't stop rhyming!

Tech Ed

I am in a Tech Ed class.  It teaches you kind of about architecture and making it on a computer.  It's really hard and challenging, but rewarding when you do good.  It can bee fun, but so confusing that I don't even know what to do.  The teacher can be funny but he is also serious most of the time.  It is the class of opposites!  :)  Making the dimensions and everything is really hard, but now it is coming more naturally.

Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Today in history class, we learned about the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  We learned that the bomb's names were Little Boy and Fat Man.  We also read some different viewpoints about the bombing.  From the Japanese side and the American side.  Personally, I can see both points of view.  On one hand, if you bomb Japan twice, you let them know who is more powerful, you scare Russia before the Cold War, you let them think that when you bomb twice you could have bombs, you end the war, and your troops don't die.  But then on the other hand, you ruined a civilization for a period of time, gave radiation to future generations and the current generation, didn't give them any warning, and basically were a jerk.  I can see both sides of view.

If you were to change one thing about the world, what would it be?  I think I would not let there be any war or things like that.  But it is a hard decision because there are so many injustices and bad things in the world that it would be hard to choose.  Things like hunger, poverty, idiots, things like that.  One that would also be high on my list would be racism.  And swearing.  There are so many to choose from!  That is sad that there are so many bad things in the world that we can't choose one that is the worst.

People who believe in evolution and stuff like that say that us humans evolved from monkeys.  Part of that I can see.  But if God created Adam and Eve, then that didn't mean that one day, some of their offspring gave birth to monkeys and from then on there were no more humans.  Also, monkeys live in forests so how could humans be in places like Switzerland or Alaska or somewhere?  Monkeys don't live there.

That is Bennett's trivial question for the day.  :)

One of my pet peeves is when people say, "Oh, its so hot!"  When it is only 70 outside.  In my opinion, (so this means it's the only right way) 70 degrees to 90 degrees is warm.  Then 90 degrees on is hot.  Even though I live in Minnesota, I am a Texan!  :)

MCA's

We took the MCA's today.  We will also take them Friday and tomorrow.  MCA's are the tests that we have to take every year to see where we are in learning.  (Doesn't meet standards, partially meets standards, meets standards, exceeds standards.)  There is always pressure to them but I am never nervous about them or anything.  For some reason, those tests don't scare me so they are actually kind of easy if you take your time and go with your gut instinct.

3 On 3

Last night I had my 3 on 3 games.  They were really fun!  I got to practice my new skills I have practiced since the season ended and Dad said that I played really good and that since Mom didn't come, she would have been proud.  That makes me feel awesome because I have practiced really hard since the end of the season with running, lot's of ball handling, just a lot of basketball.  So that was really special to hear and even though I did good, I will always have stuff to improve on.  Even Michael Jordan did.  :)

Temperature Swings

Earlier this morning, I looked out the window and to my dismay, IT WAS SNOWING!  AGAIN!  Then after my next class, there was snow on the ground, but it was sunny outside.  After I got off the bus and walked home, there was no snow, it was sunny, and it was kinda warm.  There is this pretty wise quote that inspires me a lot.  It is, "Never stop dreaming.  Unless your dreams are stupid."  It's by Journey.  (:  Like I said, a very wise quote.  I guess it's just to much to ask for my dream to come true.  All I'm asking for is some hot weather here people!  I guess that is one of those stupid dreams and I should come up with another one.  :)

April 8, 2015

Last summer, I was so sore all the time with my plantar-fasciitis, that I never really exercised besides shooting the basketball, or swimming.  I wasn't very active, so I gained some weight.  This summer, since now I know how to deal with the pain and how to relieve the pa in, I plan to run a mile almost everyday, work on not just shooting, but also ball handling, lifting weights, and being more awesome!  I have already been doing that, and I have gotten in much better shape.

3 on 3

I am in a awesome 3 on 3 tournament.  3 on 3 is just half court basketball with three players on each team.  It's basketball.  It's fun.  It's awesome.  I like it because, for me, 5 on 5 normal basketball just sometimes feels so crowded and much harder to play.  With 3 on 3, I have more places to drive in because it is more open and everything feels a bit clearer.  Also, I will like it now because this year, the team chose me and I didn't choose it.  One of those players is my friend and the other two are basically friends with me, the problem is is that sometimes... well I'll just say that they are better at a lot of other things other than basketball.  I had a hard time being nice to them before because they just annoyed me with how they played, but not I understand that they can't help it and that they are really nice dudes.  Our first practice is tonight and I can''t wait!  :)

Chloe Turning 11?

I can't believe Chloe is already 11 years old!  I remember when I could still beat her at everything... I mean I still can beat her at everything, but it was a lot easier.  :)  She is getting annoyingly taller so that means I need to grow so that I can still be taller than her.  She is joining track, so I have to start jogging on my own so that I can still always beat her.  So much to change!  :)  Chloe!  Stop!  Getting!  Awesomer!  :)  I guess Chloe can't help but be cool.
