Dot's a very smart person. She made a new kind of phone called a Dot Phone that can be used as a taser and a bazooka. When you seem to take a photograph of a doodad, the Dot Phone can transform that target to any other kind of substance at all. Let's say you took a picture of a rock. The Dot Phone could transform that rock to a basketball or a cake or coffee, etc.
