Worm Dissection
Today we did the worm dissection. It was just as gross as I thought. It was more fun than I thought it would be. I had always thought that the inside of worms were just mush and mud. Actually, they aren't like that at all. You can see all of its parts clearly (except for its flea sized brain) and it's actually pretty cool. But I don't want to do it again for a while. (:

Worm Dissection Prep
In science class today, our teacher showed us how to dissect a worm. We are going to be dissecting the worm tomorrow, but she just wanted us to be prepared. It was kind of gross. There wasn't any blood, but you could see all of the worm's insides and stuff. I know most of the parts of the earthworm, so I will be able to tell what I am actually dissecting. Did you know that an earthworm's brain is smaller than the size of a flea? I guess you don't need to know much if you live in the dirt. (:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM
Today is Mom's birthday! She is 42 and she still looks like a model. And no, mom, just because your turning 42 does not mean you are old. (: here was what I like about Mom:
1. Everything
2. Her awesomeness
3. Her Mom-ness
4. Her baller skills
5. How much she loves me
6. Like I said... everything. Happy Birthday Mom! Have a great day!

Swimming
We are in a swimming unit is gym and it is awesome! Our school pool has saving boards, rock climbing walls, and basketball hoops! It's so fun. Since the hoops are right above the sidewalk area, we can dunk. What me and my friends did, was we jumped off the diving board, and kept trying to shoot a water basketball and make it. Out of about 20 tries, it only worked once. (: I got real close, but my friend was the one who made it. I like swimming! (:

Did you know that coral are actually animals? They are heterotrophic (they can't produce their own food) and they are multicellular. Those are the requirements for animals, and coral matches both of them. Actually, there are a lot of animals that look like plants, and you might think you know they are plants, but they are animals. Especially in the ocean. There are lots of animals that look like seaweed or some kind of plant, but that is how it's supposed to look- for camouflage.

National History Day
In history class in 7th grade, we are all required to do National History Day. It's a project where you can make a website, a paper, a documentary, or a play, and make it about your topic. The guidelines for the topic change each year. This year, our topic is leadership/legacy. So I chose a leader: Malcolm X. He was kind of like Martin Luther King Junior, but instead of being nonviolent, he was violent. He is very interesting and my project is going well so far. I am doing a website because I have a dad who makes websites for a living, a brother who knows everything about computers and a computer to do it on. So I'm all set. (:

1st Place
Finally, after four years of traveling basketball in Minnesota, my team got 1st place in a tournament! And, to make things even more awesome, I had the best game of my life the first game of that tournament. It felt so good. I played the whole game basically, except for 60 second breaks about every five minutes. The coach practically hugged me after the game and everybody thought I did an awesome job. It was so fun! I like getting first place! (:

Gavin's Birthday
Happy Birthday Gavin! So far, I've liked all the 13 years I've been with you. (: Gavin's definitely one of the smartest people I know without a doubt. Anyone who can do math beyond pre-algebra to me seems smart, so maybe my expectations aren't that high, but he's in PRE-CALCULUS so he's still up there. He's funny, he's nice (sometimes 😄) he's caring even though sometimes he doesn't seem to be, and most importantly, he's awesome. Not to mention a genius. Happy Birthday bro.

Today could have been a day where we got school off because it was too cold. But our school board thought that we could still go to school when it was negative thirty, so everyone was kind of upset. I tried to find things I was thankful about so that it didn't matter as much. So I am thankful that at least I get to have an opportunity to become educated, school is warm, I have some friends at school, and that sometimes school can be fun. Since I thought all those things, I wasn't so upset that I had to go to school instead of getting the day off, which would have been nice but didn't matter so much.

Trip To Texas
Over this past Christmas Break, our parent's Christmas present to us were two tickets to Texas! Me and Gavin got to fly down for a whole week in Texas! We stayed with some really close friends and we had a blast! We had so many memories and so many inside jokes. My Mom and my friend's mom had been planning this trip for months. Whenever I asked Mom about the next time we would be seeing them, she just said sometime around Spring Break. I was so excited when I saw those plane tickets! I had the most fun I have ever had so far with those friends! Thanks Mom and Dad!
