Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin had many jobs: the Governor of Pennsylvania, a Statesman, a printer, a physicist, a scientist, a cartoonist, and probably the greatest inventor ever. But when he was young he didn’t think he would be all that. He just wanted to be a sailor when he grew up. He was fascinated about the sea and it’s wonders. But his dad wanted him to be a candle maker like himself and many others in the family. When he was young his dad would make him go to work with him and help him make candles.
But even though his hands were at work didn’t mean his mind couldn’t run wild. He would even at his young age think of new things. Guess who invented flippers? Benjamin. Who invented the stove, bifocals, the lightning rod, the glass harmonica and the odometer? Benjamin. He was a great inventor and there’s the proof.
When his brother James got old enough he went to England to be an apprentice printer. When he came back Ben offered to work for him as an apprentice. James said yes, so Ben moved in with James and quit candle making with his dad. It was fun work and Ben enjoyed it. When Ben got old enough James let him make some newspapers. Then Ben came up with an idea. King George was doing wrong things to Pennsylvania and it’s people. So Ben started making and publishing letters saying all the things he wanted to say but couldn’t for fear he would get killed or put in jail. So when he finished the letters he signed at the bottom of the letter, “Silence Dogood”. The Pennsylvanians liked the letters so Ben had to continue writing more.
Pretty soon Ben stooped working for James and looked for another printer in Pennsylvania. He found a printer who was willing to hire him named Kiemer. He was a dirty (not to say mean) man but payed Ben enough. One day the Governor of Pennsylvania walked down the street to Kiemer’s shop. Kiemer thought it was for him but it wasn’t- it was for Benjamin. The Governor offered for Ben to go to England as a printer there. So Ben went. It took a year but finally Ben got there. But when he did there wasn’t a
shop that the Governor said he would build for him. So he was stuck in England with no money and no place to live.
Thankfully, a friend he met on the boat trip offered for him to work at his library he was setting up. There was also a place to live. Benjamin said “yes” considering there was unfortunately nothing else that could give him a job, money, and place to live quick. His friend died quickly after that, but Ben had enough money to get back home. He finally got a printing shop he was the owner of. Also it was his home: his first home for his wife and three kids.
Benjamin Franklin also invented cities having policemen and firemen. Philadelphia now had the first police force and the first firemen. He invented and helped build the first hospital in America. Pretty soon Pennsylvania started hearing rumors from Boston and New York that France was going to attack Pennsylvania and that the Indians might help them. So he proposed that they should have a defense militia and that idea was quickly adopted and the militia was formed. But Ben didn’t want the Native Americans to help attack them, so he would go see the Indians and talk to the Chiefs. They said that they weren’t going to attack, so Philadelphia thanked Benjamin for that. He also helped make and put up signs every where asking for soldiers. Then he went to England in hope of them accepting his offer of guns and clothing for the soldiers back home. It went well and they survived the war. After that he was elected Governor of Pennsylvania and Ambassador of America. If he had lived a little longer than April 17’th, 1790 who knows how many more things would have been invented or how many more wars we could have stopped. He has inspired me so much that I want to go back in time and live with him or meet him a few times.

My Poor Wrist
I went with my friend Ethan to a gym and we played basketball. It was pretty fun but my wrist got hurt.
Here's how, The ball was about to get out of bounds but I dove and saved it. Unfortunately I landed on my wrist. So I hurt it and now it's in a bandage. Great way to injure yourself before a basketball tournament!

Gym Class
Today my class went on a field trip to the science museum. I just went so Mom said I didn't have to go to school. So I stayed home. We went to the gym class Mom and Chloe go to and I got to be the helper. It was pretty fun. We played packman tag, a relay race and some other fun activities. It was much better than my gym class at school.

Fun, active, learning, games in PE
The title is totally oposite of what you think this blog is going to be about. In PE this week we have been playing on the X-box! This is PE! Why would we play on the X-box in PE! Our gym teacher Mr. Mcarthy said that since we are standing up and moving our feet side to side about 2 inches, that's being active! Ha Ha Ha Ha. And Gavin in middle school gets to swim and run miles and play basketball and kickball and football. And Chloe gets to do fun activities like freeze tag, and capture the flag. And I get to play X-box. I can't wait till next year when I can do all the thing Gavin is doing in PE!

Soccer in a bad way
Okay, let me make a long story short. I got kicked in the head with the soccer ball. I think that's too short, I'll to the long story. Okay so we were at recess at the soccer field and we were playing soccer.
The ball we were using is kind of spiky and too aired-up. So I was next to the goalie incase he needed help and the guy kicked it hard. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The ball flew up and hit me square in the face. Can someone say, "Ouch!" It hit me in the nose, eye and half of my face. It really hurt and I had a headache for the rest of the school day. I also had big black circles under my eyes. I'm okay now thanks to nothing.

Ways to loose teeth...
WAYS TO LOSE TEETH
1. Eat a donut and have it fall out in the donut without you knowing it, and eating it.
2. Suck on a lollypop, have the tooth stick to the lollypop, yank the lollypop and have your tooth come out with it.
3. Wrestle with my dad.
4. Play football with my friend.
Those have all happened to me. Try not to follow in my footsteps.
